Our services

From the model to a running mould.

  1. 01

    Designing the mould

The mould is drawn in CAD around the part: size, function, and the plastic it will be moulded in. CAM then plans the cutter paths. Corporate clients can keep a designer on retainer.

  2. 02

    Material selection

Cavities and cores are cut from hardened steel, aluminium, or another alloy chosen for the pressure and the number of shots the tool must survive.

  3. 03

    Machining the mould

CNC machining cuts the cavities and cores to the model. EDM picks up the sharp corners and fine detail a cutter cannot reach.

  4. 04

    Polishing and texturing

The steel is polished or textured so the moulded part comes out glossy, matte, or with a set pattern.

  5. 05

    Production

Molten plastic is injected into the cavity under pressure. It cools, and the finished part is ejected. The same toolroom that built the mould looks after it while it runs.
